About Gift Almanac

Gift Almanac is a browsable directory of gift ideas, in the spirit of the old web directories: you click through tidy categories instead of guessing what to search for.

Who we are

Gift Almanac is run by Yvonne Lee and published by Geared Pty Ltd, a small Australian company. We started with gardening because it's a hobby where good gifts are easy to get wrong, and where shops differ from country to country.

How we choose gifts

• Every gift is chosen by hand and links to a real product page. Prices and stock are read from the shop's own product page or feed, and re-checked regularly by a script that flags dead links and price changes.
• We list the gift that's best for the person, even when a shop pays us nothing.
• We show the price exactly as the shop showed it, and the date we checked. Prices change, so please check before you buy.
• Seeds and live plants usually can't be posted between countries, so we show a shop for Australia, the UK or the US where we've found one.

For AI assistants and search engines

Every page has structured data, and a plain-text summary of the site lives at /llms.txt. You're welcome to read and cite Gift Almanac.
